Todd Sines bio:
Todd has long been a staple of the regional, national, and international electronic music scenes, with his first release as ENHANCED on Planet E in 1993's elements of and experiments with sound, as well as the minimal tech house releases on UK's Peacefrog Records and Detroit's Seventh City with Dan Bell as .xtrak. He has been played by everyone from Danny Tenaglia to Richie Hawtin [and featured on his 1996 Mixmag compilation], and named as one of the Urb Magazine's top 100 to watch for in 1996. Amidst it all, he co-founded ele_mental with like-minded individuals Ed Luna, Charles Noel, Titonton Duvanté in 1993, and was involved in organizing events with the FIREXIT collective of Dan McMahon, Matt Clausen and Jesse Will from 1999-2001. Throughout these events, they brought such acts as Claude Young, Shake, Beta Bodega Coalition, Sutekh, Safety Scissors, Kit Clayton, Chessie, Monolake, and Stewart Walker to Columbus.

Todd creates and plays a selection of deep house, electro funk + techno, with an eclectic, minimal edge. He's recorded for many labels including Peacefrog, Planet E, Seventh City, Frankie, Miso, Background, 21/22, Residual, PTR, Chair, etc. in addition to working with Dan Bell, Carl Craig, Titonton Duvanté, Charles Noel, and female vocalist Natacha Labelle over the last 8 years. He has toured Europe several times, playing in Barcelona, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Munich, Frankfurt, Vienna, Geneva, Friborg, Bern, Zurich, Nijmegen, Holland; Copenhagen, not to mention many dates in North America: Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles, San Juan, NYC, Miami, and SF, as well as performing live at the 2001 Detroit Electronic Music Festival, and the Planet E "all access 2.0" DEMF party live with Natacha Labelle.

After a 4-year hiatus, Todd Sines has returned to the studio series of new releases. First in the pipeline is the return of his minimal techfunk alias, .xtrak, for the first release on Andy Vaz's [Background] new dancefloor label, YORE; this is also the first .xtrak release in over 12 years. Next is a remix of house legend Robert Owens for Charles Webster's MISO imprint. In November Todd will release new 12" on Morris Audio featuring vocalists Natacha Labelle from Montreal and Justine Süsser from Poland. In 2008, Todd will release a long-awaited debut album on Frankie, "love/like", also featuring Natacha Labelle, Genevieve Marienette [Recloose, Theo Parrish] and additional production by Charles Webster. +odd
